Although many items are reusable and can’t affect health, it still doesn’t accept them due to precautions.
Why does not Goodwill take mattresses?
As per the latest guidelines, Goodwill does not accept mattresses. According to U.S. laws, donated mattresses should be refurbished and sanitized before sleeping. So, if Goodwill refurbished and sanitized the donated mattress, it would be cost-effective for Goodwill but take a lot of time.

If you have mattresses in good condition and want to donate them, Charities and organizations across the U.S. where you can donate your mattresses. Before donating your mattresses, make sure they are in good condition and can reuse them. Because of this, charities and organizations give these mattresses to those who need them. Suppose your mattress is not in good condition, then know how to dispose of your mattresses by recycling.
